BabSim Partner Spotlight: IIBA®

Babbage Simmel’s partners play a crucial role in our business. Our partner channels enable us to access the right software, the right curriculum and the right resources to create effective solutions for our clients.

Today in the Spotlight is IIBA – International Institute of Business Analysis.

Who is IIBA®?

Recognizing the need for competent business analysts and the need for a standard framework for requirements definition, the International Institute of Business Analysts
(IIBA®)
was formed in 2005. The IIBA® vision is to be the leading world-wide professional association that develops and maintains standards for the practice of business analysis and for the certification of practitioners.

What is Business Analysis?

According to IIBA®, Business Analysis is the practice of enabling change in an organizational context, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. The set of tasks and techniques that are used to perform business analysis are defined in A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®Guide).

What is a Business Analyst?

Job titles for business analysis practitioners include not only business analyst, but also business systems analyst, systems analyst, requirements engineer, process analyst, product manager, product owner, enterprise analyst, business architect, management consultant, business intelligence analyst, data scientist, and more. Many other jobs, such as management, project management, product management, software development, quality assurance and interaction design rely heavily on business analysis skills for success.

How can BabSim help with your Business Analysis career?

With Babbage Simmel’s business analysis training courses, you will be able to identify and improve business processes in your organization through gathering, documenting, and testing requirements, analytics, and data modeling, especially in software development and implementation projects.
